Thanks to Aldrich Astronomical Society and the Friends of the Ayer Library, Ayer Library can borrow an Orion StarBlast 4.5-inch Astro Reflector telescope.

HOW TO USE THE TELESCOPE
TO RESERVE THE TELESCOPE
- To reserve the telescope, you must be a) a CW MARS cardholder, b) at least 18 years old, and c) have an account in good standing.
- Email ayerlibrary@cwmars.org or call 978-772-8250 to reserve the telescope. The telescope may be borrowed for one week.
- If emailing, include your name, CW MARS card number, and the date you would like to pick up the telescope. We will check availability and respond to confirm or offer alternate dates.
- You will be required to fill out our Telescope Lending Agreement. We recommend you read it ahead of time to understand your responsibilities.
The Aldrich Astronomical Society, Inc. was established in 1932 and is a central Massachusetts based 501 C (3) Non-Profit Organization of amateur astronomers who have united to promote an understanding of the Night Sky through their mutual interest in observational astronomy (stargazing) and telescope-making. The Aldrich Astronomical Society, Inc. is pleased to be working in collaboration with the Cornerstones of Science, who are based in Brunswick, Maine to support the Library Telescope Program. This program enables interested libraries throughout Massachusetts and some surrounding states, to acquire a loaner telescope for their library patrons.
