|Title:||The Eastern Cougar|
|Contact:||Ayer Library, 978-772-8250|
|Description:||The cougar (Puma concolor) once roamed free and wild all across the Northeast. It was declared extirpated from this region by the 1890’s. Wildlife officials continue to tell us that they do not exist locally. If cougars are extinct in the Northeast, then why do so many people see them and how do you explain the recent kill? Nature author Robert Tougias will answer this question and discuss the future of the large carnivore here in New England.
This program is sponsored by The Friends of the Ayer Library and is free to the public. Registration is not required but room capacity is limited.
